We are grateful to be able to partner with others who are also doing good work in creating space for others. We’d like to introduce you to those with whom we regularly collaborate.

Pamela Ukrainetz

Spiritual Director

Get to Know Pamela (She/Her)

Pamela is a prairie kid from Saskatchewan (an older sibling of Jon) who to this day, loves the smell of fresh-turned dirt in the spring and wheat dust on the wind in the fall. A love of people propelled her toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While studying at the University of Saskatchewan, she met her husband Owen and when he finished his medical degree, they packed up their toddler and moved to Indiana.

Eventually, a longing for home moved Pamela and her family back to Canada.  For the last 15 years, they have lived in Lethbridge, Alberta, where they launched three kids into adulthood and fell in love with the Rockies. Since returning to Canada, Pamela has held a variety of ministry positions in a local church and most recently completed a two-year program to become a spiritual director.

These days, Pamela would tell you she wants to be at the “back door of the church” with those whose life experiences or faith moments have left them with more questions than answers about the goodness of God or his work in this world. She doesn’t claim to have answers but firmly believes that when space is made for those questions, authentic relationship with God thrives.  She hopes that her own spiritual direction practice creates space for those conversations.

Pam loves to be outside, in all seasons.  She loves to write, read, and cook beautiful food for family and friends.  She loves a challenge and the reward that comes in trying something new. You can find her at pamelaukrainetz.com.
