A Little Bit About Me...

I love a good story.  And when the good story is told by friends sipping coffee or gathered around a dinner table, even better.

I believe that our stories--the little, daily experiences and the big, life-shaping experiences--make the most sense in the context of God's Story.  I love when I get the chance to help someone begin to understand how their story and God's Story are intertwined.

My story includes working in campus ministry for over a decade.  Coffee dates, small groups, and retreats with university students grew in me a passion for walking with others as they discern God's calling in their lives.

My story also includes three young kids and a fabulous husband.  As a mom, I'm learning to recognize and name the sacred in the mundane.   Playing hide and seek, planting a garden with a five year old, and reading a beloved bedtime story (over and over) to my kids are all moments in my day when I have the chance to see God's grace.

I grew up in the green, rolling hills of Ohio, but I've also called western Colorado, Vancouver, B.C., and, now, Edmonton, Alberta home.

I earned my Master of Divinity at Regent College in Vancouver, where one of our first assignments was to write our stories.

I'm  ordained through the the Presbyterian Church (USA) and currently volunteer on the preaching team at the Christian Reformed Church where our family worships.

In 2015 stepped down from my role as Campus Minister at The King’s University in order to spend more time with my kids and pursue my love of speaking.
